Our guest Jim Bueermann, is the retired President of the National Police Foundation in Washington, DC. Jim was Chief of Police in Redlands, CA Police Department until his retirement in June 2011. Starting in 1978 Jim served in every unit within the department and knows people are police and police are people. Chief Jim used conversation and evidenced based results to guide his police department into the true meaning and practice as Peace Officers.
Jim is committed to the reform of the police culture. Jim speaks about how cities have proven that even small reforms can make a huge difference as they begin the difficult task is changing police culture and why being called PEACE OFFICERS is the one change needed.
