When Cillian Murphy, presented his Academy Award to the peacemakers in our world, I thought of Dr. Ivana Hughes.

As president of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation (NAPF), Dr. Hughes serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Group to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) at the United Nations.

The TPNW includes a comprehensive set of prohibitions on participation in any nuclear weapon activities. It was adopted 7 July 2017 and bans the use, possession and testing of nuclear weapons under International Law. 

You will begin to understand the threat of nuclear weapons as she describes, with frightening clarity, the results of even one attack. Nuclear disarmament is so desperately needed for the future of our children and our planet. What can we do  to help eliminate this threat? How can we contribute now?
