Throughout history, eminent people have inspired us by speaking and promoting peace. My late husband, Dr. Robert Muller said he would spend his life working for peace and spent 40 years at the UN. Eleanore Roosevelt told us, “ It isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn’t enough o believe in it. One must work for it.” My guest for Peace Podcast 158 tells us how.
David J. Smith is an educator, consultant, and career coach focusing on the fields of conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and humanitarian action. He is the president of the Forage Center for Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Education, Inc., a 501c3 not-for-profit that offers experiential learning opportunities for students and professionals.
He has worked at the U.S. Institute of Peace, taught at a range of schools including Georgetown University, Drexel University, American University and currently at the Carter School at George Mason.
