Dennis Wong is a Peace-Builder, a Rotarian. He believes that 35,000 Rotary Clubs and millions of members, World-wide, could become the avenue to bring the peace we need on our Planet today. Putting “Service above self” allows each Rotarian an opportunity to create peace wherever they may be, especially in the month of February, each year when we Rotarians focus on promoting peace.
Dennis describes the Rotarian Code of Conduct which is his guide to peace-building and conflict transformation. The Code says, “to use my personal and professional skills and experiences to improve people’s quality of life in my community and in the world.” Yes, Dennis you are A ROTARY STAR!
Dennis uses his talents and learnings from growing up in Hawaii, attending college in the midwest, serving in the U.S. Navy, working in New York City, being a Rotarian in Connecticut and representing International Cities of Peace in the United Nations, as well as being a son, brother, cousin, husband, father and friend.
Listen as Dennis describes his work at the United Nations, our Global meeting place for conversations and understanding building trust to create a world that works for all.
As you listen you will see how he finds it interesting, fun and productive to think differently and to see conflicts as a catalyst for constructive change and peace! Please check out his biography under members at www.RotaryclubofWorldPeace.org.
