Susan Hartley, author Global Voices for Peace, an anthology featuring inspiring peacebuilders as a response to global tensions that border on hopelessness. Bringing her experience as a clinical psychologist, conflict transformation professional, Rotary Peace Fellow, Rotarian, and a member of the District 7815 Peace Committee, she shares the inspiring work of 100 Peacebuilders showing us how to move peace forward.
The contributors to Global Voices for Peace are a small, representative group of active
Peacebuilders, which began as she gathered their thoughts and reflections on the following questions:
“What needs to happen for humanity to find a way to peace for our world, our communities, and our societies? What actions can we take to move peace forward?”
The response was immediate and in some ways surprising as the contributors offered a worldwide perspective which created this anthology.
2016 she coordinated the Women’s Peace Tables Worldwide, collaborating with
PeaceWomen Across the Globe. This project supported 120 groups throughout the
world to engage in dialogue on how to make decision making and peacebuilding
processes more inclusive. She has also provided program and project development
consultation within the Peace and Conflict Prevention area of focus to groups in
Trinidad and Tobago, and most recently in Bolivia.
Susan also has extensive experience working within the not-for-profit sector, sitting
on numerous NGO Boards and volunteering for local, regional, and national
community groups in Canada.
