J. Frederick Arment, Founding Director of International Cities of Peace shares in this UNA Speech and Podcast “How Communities can Contribute to the Tipping Point for World Peace.”

International Cities of Peace has built a global network and provides a platform of tools and resources for the benefit of independent member Cities of Peace.  Since its founding in 2009, the Association will soon achieve and exceed 400 Cities of Peace. As you listen you will see how Arment fosters Community revitalization, a positive approach, encouraging peace in families, neighborhoods leading to world peace. He show how peace really does begin in our cities. 

In 2017, Cities of Peace, Inc. achieved Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. With City of Peace initiatives on all six continents, the ICP Association offers flexibility for membership in terms of the diversity of cultures, languages, political systems, and other deeply held aspects of global humanity. www.internationalcitiesofpeace.org

Arment’s nonfiction work includes “The Elements of Peace: How Nonviolence Works”,, and “The Economics of Peace: Freedom, the Golden Rule, and Broadening Prosperity”, released in the fall of 2014. His novels include “Backbeat: A Novel of Physics” (2005) and “The Synthesis” (2012).
