When volunteering for the United Nations office of the Unitarian Universalist Association, Joanne was introduced to a range of disarmament experts as she created a blog on Disarming Our Planet.

She was drawn to that topic having engaged in their annual conference on Disarmament the year that the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons won the Nobel Peace Prize for assisting with the creation of the Treaty to Ban Nuclear Weapons. This podcast focuses on the United Nations history making story of The Treaty For The Prohibition Of Nuclear Weapons, its creation, entry into force and current implementation.
