Ray Matsumiya, Peacebuilder Orchestrates the RAGFP Peace Park in Friendship Hall-Melbourne
Inspired by a mother from Hiroshima, Ray Matsumiya has devoted his professional career to unofficial diplomacy, cross-cultural exchange and peacebuilding. No stranger to designing programs with high impact for individuals around the world he brings his talent and gifts to the 2023 Rotary International Convention in Melbourne, Australia, May 27-31 2023.
In the center of the House of Friendship, is your ultimate destination, the RAGFP Peace Park orchestrated by Ray and Al Jubitz, co-founder of the RAGFP. At the Peace Park, step inside the peace portal for live cross-cultural discussions with peacebuilders from around the world, using cutting-edge video conferencing technology. Take a selfie at the peace pole station and share your support for global peace. Add your message of peace to one of the large peace trees. And don’t forget to grab a free ‘peace pop cake’ throughout each day.

Lastly, a community conversation space will enable Rotarians from around the world gather to exchange Peace ideas, share successful District projects, take center stage and deliver words of wisdom and inspiration for peace and shared collaboration. As Rotary says “We are People of Action”.
Here you will renew your peace connections, perspectives and carry the energy home to light up your club and community. Let us know you are coming so we can schedule you for a Center stage presentation. RayMat@ume.org
