Conversations are often hard to have, especially now with distrust and animosity between our political parties, isolation, separation and masks that keep us from seeing and really hearing each other. How can we take a step back and find ways to work together so we can solve the big problems facing our families, our community and our world?
Listen to the wisdom of our guest Rev. Franklin Ruff who willl show how a mindset of seeing humanity in all and using humility will open doors to common grounds and even may change our mind. Reverend Ruff is pastor of the First Baptist Church in Stillwell, Kansas and past president of American Baptist Churches of the Central Region. He is also the Red Co-Chair of the Braver Angels Kansas City Alliance. Rev. Ruff is a conservative who says, “One of the things we can do to make our conversations better is look and see the humanity of others and to be humble.” He talks about how to bridge differences and listen to each other to find common ground as he shares examples of the keys to understanding with clarity and compassion.
