Brian L. Farr is a Peace Maker, a Peace Builder and wherever Brian is, peace begins. As we celebrate February, the International month of peace, watch my beautiful conversation unfold with Brian Farr. We share stories of impossible peace beginnings and how impossible opportunities can bring peace to those we are with even from a hospital bed.
Brian practiced law in both the public and private sectors for nearly forty years as chief legal counsel to the governor of the State of Utah and as a division chief in the Utah Attorney General’s office.
Farr’s international experience began in earnest when he and his daughter produced “Voices of Friendship—A Celebration of Children, Cultural Diversity, Music, Friendship, and Life,” an international children’s choir festival prior to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. He is past chair of both the North American Interfaith Network and the global Rotarian Action Group for Peace. Brian was awarded a graduate certificate in conflict prevention/ resolution and peace building from Chulalongkorn University in Bangko.
Listen to hear how our everyday experiences can make peace possible even from a hospital bed, where Brian saw kindness change the moment for the cleaning lady.
Brian generously shares his Peace Primer (attached) for us to learn the simple steps to make peace and harmony possible. The stories of hope and simple steps to love and peace are his gift to a world that begins to see peace every day in any situation.
